Company Registration

Set up your Thai company correctly from day one.

Registering a Thai company as a foreign national is not just paperwork — the structure you choose at the start determines whether your Work Permits will be granted later. We set it up so that they will be.

What is included

  • Advice on the right structure for your business and nationality
  • Name reservation and filing with the Department of Business Development
  • Tax ID, VAT registration and company seal
  • Bank account opening support for the company
  • Work Permit planning for the foreign directors and staff
  • Ongoing accounting if you need it

What you will need

  • Three proposed company names, in order of preference
  • Passport copies of the foreign shareholders and directors
  • ID cards of the Thai shareholders, if any
  • Registered address and a map
  • Details of shareholding and authorised capital
  • Business objectives matching the activities you will actually carry out

How the process runs

  • We agree the structure, shareholding and objectives
  • The name is reserved and the memorandum filed
  • The statutory meeting is held and the registration completed
  • Tax ID and VAT are registered, and the company seal issued
  • We arrange the Work Permits so the structure supports them

Timing

Two to four weeks for the company to exist, with the Work Permits following. Some objectives require a foreign business licence, which takes considerably longer — we will tell you at the start if that applies to you.

Worth knowing

The most expensive mistake in this area is registering with objectives that do not match what the company actually does. It looks fine until an application is refused, and by then the structure has to be rebuilt.

Requirements depend on your nationality and your employer. Send us your details and we will confirm exactly what you need — free of charge.
